Catherine Doucette grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Doucette now writes from her home in Pennsylvania not far from Hawk Mountain. She is an avid skier, runner, and hiker. This winter she plans to get into the snowy recesses of the wilderness as much as possible.

Doucette’s writing ambitions were sparked at St. Lawrence University. She went on to earn her MFA from Oregon State University and has been writing nonfiction ever since.

Her writing has appeared in many different arenas including literary journals and reviews as well as ski magazines and trade journals. She just had her first book, “On the Run: Finding the Trail Home,” published by OSU Press. Check out Doucette's list of publications.
